Hello,
I want to implement a Plate / Shell elements into the library. Does Anyone know what exactly are the formulations for those? (stiffness matrix, mass matrix and damping matrix (damping is not necessary for now))



hi,
i think you're jumping to the next level if you did not implement plane stress / strain before
you can checked formula from any standard finite element book, these elements are less complicated than plate/shell since translation only need to solve.

Unfortunately Xml input is not added. There will be a simple graphical UI for creating model (soon) with node, element and loads…

I've almost implemented a triangular plate DKT element (based on discrete Kirchoff theory) from this thesis (thesis by Kaushalkumar Kansara):

I only need to evaluate the calculation before release. Usually i do evaluation by generating several very random elements and then calculating its stiffness matrix and then compare result with right value from a reference. The problem now is that i have no
access to right value now! does anyone know an simple application that i pass node coordinates, material properties and thickness of triangular DKT into it and it give me stiffness matrix of triangular DKT element?
